One of the most recognizable spots on both the Spanish Mediterranean coast and the Costa del Sol is the town of Torremolinos. Known as a national and international tourist destination, the city offers a wide range of leisure activities for the whole family.
If you are traveling this way, with the whole family or a group of friends, travel comfortably and don’t hesitate to hire a 7-seater car at Málaga Airport. With it, you can visit the best spots in Torremolinos and, in addition, you will have enough space for all the souvenirs you will buy at the markets.

Thursday Market in Torremolinos
The first stop on our market tour cannot be other than the Thursday market. Here you will be able to walk among its more than 200 stalls to find a souvenir of your getaway to Torremolinos or simply a bargain you didn’t expect.
It offers a wide variety; from food with fresh fruit and vegetables, to textiles like clothes, shoes, and accessories, as well as home décor items, where we highlight local crafts, or cosmetics.
The stalls are set up at the Torremolinos Fairgrounds, very close to the Plaza de Toros, every week from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., unless an important event is taking place or one of Torremolinos’ famous festivals is being held.
The city’s good connections and the fact that it’s located in such a well-known and central place make it easily accessible. To get there you can park your car near one of the beaches in Torremolinos and take bus line T1 or M-125. If you prefer to drive there, the address of the Fairgrounds is Calle Periodista Federico Alba.
Torremolinos Flea Market
Every Sunday you have an appointment at the Fairgrounds to check out the more than 100 stalls at the Torremolinos Flea Market.
With the same hours as the Thursday market, the Flea Market has its stalls ready from 9 a.m. for early risers, until 2 p.m. for those who are late or who simply plan to go out for tapas in Torremolinos after shopping.
Along with the Fuengirola Flea Market, it is one of the largest, busiest, and most well-known on the Costa del Sol.
The star and most sought-after items at this Sunday market are, without a doubt, the second-hand goods. Besides them, you will be able to stroll among the stalls contemplating high-quality crafts and ceramics as well as old books, postcards, posters, and other vintage items.
Other markets in Torremolinos
There are other types of markets with different concepts besides the traditional Thursday and Sunday markets. Follow us on this tour through the town of Torremolinos and its stalls.
Gourmet Market Sabor a Málaga
The Gourmet Market Sabor a Málaga is located in the vibrant and exciting heart of the town, surrounded by some of the best restaurants in Torremolinos. It is not a traditional market, but an enclosed, modern, and sophisticated market with a long and interesting history behind it.
In its beginnings, this was the home of the Municipal Market, and later became the Town Hall as well as municipal offices with multiple uses. Today, after a thorough renovation, it has become the first permanent Sabor a Málaga Market.
In this space, the best of southern gastronomy comes together to offer the visitor a unique culinary experience, along with leisure and cultural options.
Torremolinos Christmas Market
Year after year the Christmas market grows in importance and number of visitors. It takes place in Nogalera square, and traditionally starts in mid-December and closes its stalls on January 5th.
The location of its six stalls is not random, as they are very close to the Christmas village, so a walk through this market in search of typical seasonal products is something you can’t miss. Open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
