Teba is situated in the east of the district Antequera. It is obligatory to visit this village, with its ramified streets, its manor houses and its architecture it is typical andalusian style. Its grounds are irrigated by the river Guadalteba, which arise in the barrier lake the same name and is integrated in the hydrologic cycle of Guadalhorce-Guadalteba. Its country¬side is builded by small hills and waves with wheat agricultura and the vitality of the olive trees predominance the sierra de Peñarrubia. The village is situated between the Cerros de la Camorra, Camorrillo, San Cristóbal and el Castillo.
Lots of tools and utilities of the old Stone-age were discovered around the river Guadalteba. They tell us about the presence of groups of hunters and gatherers, which used the varity of foods and the richness of species in this zone. Living places, like the caves of las Palomas, with rich schematic paintings found in their inside.
