The city of Rincón de la Victoria is bordered in the west by the creek Totalán and in the east by the creek San Millán, to which we have to add two more creeks, Granadillas and Benagalbón, which only flow seasonal.
In Rincón de la Victoria settled the phoenicians 50 BC, in the hills of Benagalbon, like archaeologic discoveries in the cave “Cueva del Tesoro” attest. During a few years in the roman period, they build a fortified village named Bezmiliana. But only in the andalusian age the city became more popular and a middle category.
With the arrival of the Catholic Kings started a degeneration which continued until the 18th century, when King Carlos III rebuilt the towers, constructed by Yusuf I in the 14th century in the almenaras at the coast and which were destroid years later, to build the Casa-Fuerte de Bezmiliana.
The actual name of Rincón de la Victoria was given by the construction of a religious order of the Mínimos and their convent de la Victoria, in his grounds.
