La Alcazaba restaurant

Just 1 minute walk from the plaza in the centre of Mijas, we find La Alcazaba restaurant (Mijas), which is almost certainly the establishment with the best views of the whole of Mijas. Among modern and well-presented dishes and an antique décor with a Mozarabic touch, you can enjoy a high quality meal with impressive views of the entire coast.

La Reja restaurant

Located in the heart of the village, it is accessed by an alleyway behind the central square. However, the venue has tables on a high terrace that looks out onto the square, offering spectacular views of the village.

El Capricho restaurant

Restaurant with views of the square and the Sierra de Mijas mountain range, it is an old traditional Andalusian village house which offers Spanish food at very competitive prices. Many of its customers agree that this is a welcoming, warm and family restaurant.

El Balcón de Mijas restaurant

Casa El Abuelo restaurant

Traditional neighbourhood bar-restaurant, with a low price range, but offering dishes with a good quantity of food and without losing a shred of quality. This is a no frills restaurant, and they don’t pretend to be otherwise. They just offer good food, at good prices and an excellent service.

Las Tablinas

An interesting alternative to try typical dishes of Asturian gastronomy in Mijas Costa. It is spread across two sections: the first with high chairs and tables, to enjoy typical snacks (pintxos) from the north (similar to tapas in the south); in the second section there is a communal dining area where you can try more elaborate dishes. You must try the ‘cachopo’ (dish of veal fillets with ham and cheese) and ‘fabada’ (Asturian bean stew).

Casa Navarra

A historic place in the area, known throughout the province for the quality of its meats, many of them brought from the northern part of Spain, famous for its grass-fed cattle. However, Casa Navarra (Mijas) doesn’t just have meat: they offer a menu of excellent vegetables which are wonderfully handled.

La Catedral Mijas restaurant

A modern establishment with every wall decorated with cathedrals, temples and monuments of a religious nature. It has a diverse menu, which dedicates a large section to sushi, although it offers a wide variety of dishes with an innovative touch in a warm and comfortable setting.
