Most common locations

The areas where it is most common to find these companies are, in order of relevance, Malaga airport, Maria Zambrano train station, the centre of Malaga and the Port of Malaga.
Port of Malaga
Cruise passengers and owners of small or medium-sized vessels that dock at the port book almost exclusively here. According to the port’s own figures, an average of 35,000 passengers arrive here every month.
These tourists usually spend between 1 and 2 days in the city, so it is not usual for them to book a car, preferring to travel by public transport. For this reason, there are only a few car rental agencies in the port of Malaga where you can book your car.
María Zambrano Train Station
Spain has an excellent rail network thanks to the AVE high-speed train, which also allows passengers to travel from outside the country. However, it is very common for national tourists to use the car rental companies located in the area around the tren station.
Malaga city centre
Users tend to prefer to pick up and return their vehicle in the vicinity of major means of transport, such as the train station or the airport, thus making it easier to get around.

However, these companies tend to be considerably more expensive and require queuing for both collection and return of the vehicle.
Outside the airport
There are a number of companies in and around Malaga airport that offer an interesting option for car hire. They are located near the airport, however, as they are not located in the airport car park, they are usually cheaper than those located inside the airport, as they do not have to bear the costs involved in being located here.
