Outside of the festival, some patios remain free to visit throughout the year. In the San Basilio neighborhood, where, as we mentioned before, many of the city’s patios are concentrated, some homeowners allow free entry.
Another place where you can visit patios for free is in the Asociación de Amigos de los Patios Cordobeses, where several representative patios are shown at no cost.
Also on San Basilio street, some of the historic patios can be visited at any time of the year without an entrance fee.
While some private patios may require an entry fee for guided tours or maintenance, most of the more traditional patios maintain their welcoming free spirit, allowing tourists and locals to enjoy these corners full of history and color.

How to get to the Patios of Córdoba
● From Córdoba
The Patios of Córdoba are mainly located in the city’s historic neighborhoods (some of which we’ve already mentioned) like: San Basilio, the Jewish Quarter, Santa Marina, or San Lorenzo.
Most of them are in the old town, so the best way to visit them is on foot. From any point in the center of Córdoba, you can walk to the most emblematic patios in just a few minutes.
Additionally, we recommend taking the opportunity to visit the interior of the Cordoba Cathedral and fall in love even more with this beautiful city.
● From Málaga
If you’re coming from Málaga, you have several options to get to Córdoba.
By public transport
The fastest way is by AVE or Avant train, which connects both cities in about 50 minutes. From Córdoba’s train station, you can walk about 20-25 minutes to the patios area or take a bus or taxi for a quicker arrival.
By car
If you decide to travel to Córdoba by car from Málaga, you will have more flexibility to explore other corners of Andalusia and tour the city.
The distance between Málaga and Córdoba is 160 km, and the drive takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes via the A-45 highway.
