However, visiting them and enjoying some time at one of these beachfront establishments is a typical plan in summer, both for locals and the area’s tourists.
In recent years, this concept has become fashionable throughout Spain. Beach clubs usually combine a hire service for hammocks and Balinese beds with a culinary offer to suit customers, drinks and cocktails and have a space similar to a night club but outdoors, so there is never a shortage of music on the beach.

Beach club in Torremolinos
Depending on the beach, we can find beach clubs of one style or another. Between Carihuela and Playamar beach, there are venues which are more orientated towards sit-down drinks or enjoying a drink on hammocks, as well as offering a food service.
Eden Beach Club
Eden Beach Club is also known for being near to Eden Copas, where they organise parties that are mostly gay-themed. Decorated completely in white, at Eden Beach Club, they offer many services, both hammocks and sofas as well as a restaurant, where they have a menu with a wide variety of dishes.
They offer small snacks to enjoy as a very original buffet type lunch which comes recommended by their customers. It is situated on Bajondillo beach, an area with a great atmosphere for partying or enjoying a day on the beach which is more lively than normal.
Bananas Beach Club
Situated in the heart of the promenade of the famous Carihuela beach, and just a few metres from the centre of Torremolinos, Bananas Beach Club has the same disadvantage as the other establishments situated in the heart of the village, a shortage of parking. However, it can also be a great opportunity to take advantage and stroll along the promenade.
Customers mainly like it for its spectacular cocktails and tasty food while enjoying some privileged views. A good option for spending a day on the beach with family or friends.
Tropicana Beach Club
Belonging to MS Tropicana Hotel, the Tropicana Beach Club is characterised for being a space which is focussed mainly on enjoying a cold drink or one of its cocktails, whether at its tables or on the hammocks while enjoying the sea breeze with music in the background. In terms of food, they are more focussed on tapas, typical snacks of the area.
Horno Beach Club
Horno Beach Club is an establishment located on Carihuela beach, characterised by a tropical island style, with white wood and very open. It stands out for its wide range of services on offer: from the typical ones such as Balinese beds and hammocks, cocktails and restaurant, to other less common ones, such as a masseur or live music almost every day.
They offer hire for private events or parties, with catering, menus for groups and they can even organise weddings. They have a large cocktail menu and, in terms of food, the use of fresh fish, the variety of the menu and its vegetarian and vegan options are notable. In addition, it has an exclusive sushi menu which is very original and a must-try.
Beach clubs in Los Álamos
Situated on the beach which has the same name as the neighbourhood and right at the entrance to Torremolinos if you are coming from Malaga or the airport. Although they offer the same services as the beach clubs of Torremolinos, they also turn into a really fun outdoor disco which is truly entertaining in summer.
All of them are on the beachfront, on the outskirts of the neighbourhood, so there are no parking problems. Sometimes, during the high season, there are monitors who charge €1 to use the car parking.
La Playa Surf House
It is one of the most popular in the area, La Playa Surf House positions itself as an alternative relaxing beach club during the day, with chill out music enjoying the sun with a drink or cocktail in the garden at its beautiful entrance or on the hammocks and beds on the beach.
Decorated entirely in light and off-white wood, it gives off a relaxed atmosphere, offering the customer a comfortable and relaxing area that can be addictive. Thanks to this, it is one of the most-visited each summer and you are likely to have to wait a short time if you want to get a spot, just like in the area’s other beach clubs.
Playa Santa Beach Club
With décor inspired by Aztec or pre-Columbian Mayan art, Playa Santa is a fantastic option to enjoy sunset on the beaches of Torremolinos, on one of its tropical style beds, with the sound of the sea waves in the background and a glass of typical wine or nice cold beer.
It has a very original, fun and adapted food menu to try both at its interior tables and on the beds and hammocks on the beach. Here, they fuse Mediterranean cuisine with exotic touches. They also offer the option of booking the establishment or part of it for private parties.
Kokun Ocean Club
Kokun Ocean Club is probably the best-known in the entire province of all of those mentioned here, being popular thanks to its party atmosphere, which is formed as soon as darkness falls, and is able to compete with parties in Marbella.
Just like the others, it has a hammock service on the beach itself, and a little nearer to the establishment, it has a few lines of sofas and Balinese beds, all decorated in white and deep red. Within the establishment, there are also tables so you can try more elaborate dishes than those they offer on the beach, so there are two different menus, depending on where you are going to eat.
Visiting in summer and spring is highly recommended, since they organise themed parties. Moreover, the majority of customers usually attend with a black or white dress code.
