Geografic location.- The Airport is situated 8 km in the southwest of the city of Málaga, in the autonomy of Andalusia.
Interesting information.-Malaga airport connects the entire Costa del Sol and is the longest time located airport on the original building place in comparison with other airports in Spain. It is with its traffic volume, the fourth largest airport in Spain, the third largest in the Iberian Peninsula and on the 22nd Place in Europe. Currently operates nearly 60 airlines connecting Malaga with 20 Spanish main cities and more than 100 European and African cities, the Middle East and North America.
Terminals.-The terminals 1, 2 and 3 are connected, there is no need to leave any of the building to get through all of them. Terminal T3 hosts the security check control for passengers, although in Terminal 1 and 2 you find others passport control, which are used if needed in case of high passenger volume. Terminal T3 building, measures about 225 m long, inside you`ll find the departure lounge with 20.000m², also the baggage claim hall and 86 check-in desks, including two which are used for special luggage, there are fifteen automatic self-check-in machines.
Access.-The Airport is connected with the main national road N-340 to Estepona – Marbella - Fuengirola, in southwest direction of Málaga Airport and situated in the northeast of the Airport.
To reach the airport from the city center, take the motorway E-15/A7 and first exit out in to N-340. Also from Málaga, you can take the national N-331 to go to Córdoba, Granada, Seville, Jaen direction.
Parking.-Málaga airport has several multi-level car parks building for short stay, or long term parking, all of them have disable’s parking.
T1/P1 has 1533 parking spaces, T2/P2 has 968 parking spaces. There are also car rental parking areas, Terminals T1/P1 has 743 parking spaces and T2/P2 has 310 parking spaces.
